چکیده
Ever-increasingly Citrus wastes have been generating during the industrial processing, which is troublesome to dispose them for considerations of economic feasibility and environmental protection. Meanwhile, liver disease, causes damage, one major threats further development aquaculture, especially in marine fish. The present study explored hepatoprotective effect PSCP, a polysaccharide extracted from pomelo seed coat, primary hepatocytes hybrid grouper (<i>Epinephelus fuscoguttatus</i>♂ × <i>Epinephelus lanceolatus</i>♀). PSCP displayed considerably scavenging free radicals strong inhibitive erythrocyte hemolysis. In vitro, we added (0, 100, 200 400 μg/mL) before incubation with Acetaminophen (APAP) (12 mM). CKK-8 experiment administration (100 substantially mitigated reduction hepatocyte viability inflicted by APAP. Moreover, found that effectively alleviated APAP-induced oxidative stress, as shown significantly reduced level reactive oxygen species elevated enzymatic activities superoxide dismutase, catalase, glutathione peroxidase, indicated its anti-liver injury (P<0.05). more direct signs associating hepatoprotection are reflected results hematoxylin eosin staining, evident morphological recovery following addition PSCP. brief, these findings showed therapeutic potential on fish injury, not only provided now prospect treating impairment aquatic animals, but also improve utilization fruitlets.

متن کاملGalectin-9 ameliorates fulminant liver injury
Fulminant hepatitis is a severe liver disease resulting in hepatocyte necrosis. Galectin‑9 (Gal‑9) is a tandem‑repeat‑type galectin that has been evaluated as a potential therapeutic agent for various diseases that regulate the host immune system. Concanavalin A (ConA) injection into mice results in serious, immune‑mediated liver injury similar to human viral, autoimmune and fulminant hepatitis...
متن کاملGrape seed protects cholestatic rats liver from ischemia/reperfusion injury.
PURPOSE To determine the effect of grape-seed extract against ischemia/reperfusion injury in cholestatic liver. METHODS Eighteen Wistar albino rats were divided into three groups. In control and study groups, cholestasis was provided by bile duct ligation. Seven days later, the rats were subjected to 30 min hepatic ischemia, followed by 60 min of reperfusion. Oral administration of 50 mg/kg/d...
متن کاملGrape seed pro-anthocyanidins ameliorates radiation-induced lung injury
Radiation-induced lung injury (RILI) is a potentially fatal and dose-limiting complication of thoracic radiotherapy. This study was to investigate the protective effects of grape seed pro-anthocyanidins (GSPs), an efficient antioxidant and anti-carcinogenic agent, on RILI. In our study, it was demonstrated that acute and late RILI was ameliorated after GSPs treatment possibly through suppressin...
